All great. proshop actually let us play some days as 9 hole at 9am, 9 holes at 1pm on different course to accomodate us palying separately from very large regular groups.
Speed of play is impressive as regulars play alot of golf and all seem to have electric golf buggies, carts, etc.
Excellent clubhouse inculuding cooked breakfast options.
Accomodation on site is good in some rooms, basic in others. Choose carefully.
5 day golf/stay/some meals holiday package is reasonable value but take time to select your course/tee times in advance or you may be a bit sidelined by regulars who play competitions most days.
Our pick= Murray Course for its scenery, Executive course for its shorter lengh and tighter layout.

Golf course review of the Burnley Public Golf Course 9 hole course that is fairly easy and promotes itself as beginner suitable. Actually it could be but alot of times it is played by regulars as 2 x 9 holes for 18 holes and they are fairly grumpy about being held up.
3 of us did 8 holes in 2 hours and were berated on 8th green by management for slow play. We replied that we'd called 2 groups thru and noted that the next following group was currently on the 7th fairway. We were told that some regulars had left the course rather that wait. Seemed that there were too many groups that day and all needed to take a breath and enjoy the day. Believe we were targeted as had 9yo and 11yo player in group. Subsequent polite enquiry with management met with brick wall.
Overall, an easy and not very exciting course that prefers its regulars. Play if you live neaby and can become a regular. All others - several better courses are a short drive away.

It's a long course and best with a cart. You'll leave a few balls in the rough.
The clubhouse has a great driving, putting area. Arrive early, use both, grab a coffee/snack at the cafe.
The clubhouse is also a good 19th hole but beware ordering lunch before a game as service can take time and regulars come first.
Can be tricky to get a game some days due to block bookings by locals/regulars.
Alternative shorter "Cups" 9 hole course is good for all players and well suits high handicappers.
Arrive with anyone under 18 yo for a game and, regardless of their ability, expect to find the main course is booked out and only 9-holer available to your party. I have young teenagers up to the challenge of the main course and so try to book by telephone. No online bookings at this time so difficult to know exactly what tyhe problem is here.
Use iThe Dunes as a full day out. Played there Sept 2011 and enjoyed it more than Sorrento to Portsea mostly due to its much more up to date layout, chance to hit some warm up balls, nice clubhouse. Notwithstanding there booking issues I still like playing either course here.

Golf course review of Malvern Valley Public Golf Course found a Pleasant to play golf creek side. Beware the rough as golf balls going there are often lost. The layout is shorter and tight so suits medium hitters/medium-higher handicappers (yours truely). Can get very busy and tee off can be 15 mins late. Friendly but occasionally you'll meet golfers in sandals, beer in hand, who might just pick up any ball seen.
Good terrace as 19th hole with bar, good catering on weekends.
Nice Proshop and staff.
Lacks driving area, needs larger putting green, greens a bit variable.
An honest golf course that can be really enjoyable on a quieter day. Just dont tell anyone else how convenient it is.

Play on front 9 is slow: expect players in sandals, groups of 6, etc, = 2.5hrs. Grab a sausage roll and get to the best part = holes 9-18, 1.5-2hrs of the good fun. Course is nicely long for non-pro players. Cart is good to hasten play but not essential. No practice range but Albert Park Driving Rage is just across the Lake and worth a visit. No 19th hole. Can get busy with groups of 4 every 7 minutes or so. Pick your tee off times with care and you'll decide to return. Remember to byo some food and drinks. Proshop has soft drinks, pies, chips, golfballs. Nearby cafe is only available for functions so a great location for golf and a nice course has no 19th hole. Rumours that course will be developed into appts and 12 hole course would be a pity, better as 9+9 with a decent clubhouse etc.

For my Golf Course Review of the Taree RSL and Golf Club it is a relatively challenging course. Even though it is not a long course it is hilly to undulating and the golfer is presented with a predominance of compound slopes, dams, creeks and out of bounds. It requires more of the golfer than just hitting long and straight. The club has spent a lot of effort in recent times in improving the asthetics.

The course has a brilliant practice range and the putting green rated 10 out of 10. When it comes to the course the Metropolitan Golf Club will not disappoint with all aspects of the course rating 10 out of 10 from Tees,Fairways,Bunkers and Greens not to mention the yardage marking.I felt that the Layout and Design of the Course was well thought out and the Challenge presented by the Course a 10.In summary the course is good value for money and very enjoyable to play.
