Located in the heart of the prestigious Melbourne Sandbelt and is renowned as one of the best kept golf courses in the state.  Southern Golf Club welcome all the visitors.

Enjoy the 1st holes with the long drive down the right centre is ideal while the second shot is most difficult. The best way to approach this green, which is wide, very firm but lacks depth, is to land the ball short and let it run up. A very difficult, demanding golf hole rated accordingly.

when in good nick, the course is pretty good to play.if looking for a challenge, you will find one here. short holes like 3rd and 8th - you can quite easily walk away with doubles. as a single figure player, i find the course to be a challenge for the low marker but at the same time easy for a high marker to play.
vastly different 9's. front nine is somewhat an open 9(some say links) with all trouble off the tees mostly left. the back 9 is more tree lined, making it more difficult to find the green if fairway missed off the tee.
classic holes are the 5th and 14th in my opinion.
you wont need a cart to play as the course is relatively flat.
good luck and enjoy golf if you play there
