Bothwell Golf Club is welcoming you to golf in our playing fields with an area of 5054 yards with 9 holes and 67 pars .
the Course is recognised as Australia's oldest. Built more than 160 years ago sheep still maintain the fairways, and the greens are fenced off to keep them out. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the course as the earliest golfers did and hire Hickory clubs, gutty balls and early golfing attire. The course recently expanded to include 6 restored golf holes that were abandoned after WW11. The course is a time capsule of how early golf was played. There are blind shots and unique hazards, and is exposed to the elements and coupled with firm turf most of the year round. The holes are generous off the tee, with small greens demanding accurate approach shots. The layout wanders over steady ground and is an easy walk. The Australian Golf Museum is located in the Township of Bothwell. Course is open to public at all times. Group bookings welcome.
